Hi, actually I have a lot of question i'd like to ask even at the same time I understand that incomestores.com is stil in beta phase. since I don't really like posting bit by bit, I think I'll make this as long as possible ^^. Below are my concern about IS, and I don't really know if they had ever been posted somewhere.
#Interface Issue:
- Since IS hosted in 'closed' environtment,I think we need some way to customize and modify the layout of the main page (so it appears unique), an ability to add scripts freely or other mods (like blogger.com maybe?)
- I think the image of the related product must be shown in Product list so that it looks like a shop. not a bunch of uncategorized list of stuff...
- I think the 'Buy' button (which will redirect the page to the source page) should be added next to detail button in search result page or product list page as a shortcut
- Layout color, font, element, should have more choices listed to choose from and more customizeable details such buttons, images,etc.
# Member education Issue
- I think IS need a brief tutorial for noob covering topics such how to get started, what to consider, samples of website showing how a website powered by IS may look like, how powerful the store, the advantage, SEO(I think it's slightly different than SEO tactics than common website), ROI calculation, and what to expect by joining IS, etc. I mean, by overall, at least there's some sort of workflow tutorial as a guide.
Furthermore, I mean some of us that buying this "turnkey" website must be already find it so hard to gathering information from many sources out there regarding how to build an affiliate store. By using IS, they must be have some kind of hope to avoid the complicated things and surely doesn't expect to encounter them in IS forum too.
- (personally) I don't understand how to use price comparison tabs. Is it pricerunner related? (I have no idea how price runner and other modules works too. Maybe a brief tutorial about API might help?)
# Back office/feature Issue
- I think the option to be able to add products (physical or infoproduct) manually (like common e-store and of course along with the shoppingcart) beside autopopulate affiliate product based on keywords is needed, because this feature alone will create an unbeateable and powerful all in one e-store template on the internet. The combination of the common e-store, affiliate store, articles, and customizable ads all over the page would create a killing site.
- The most common practices of affiliate marketing are through referral links. Even so, IS only serve the ability to autopopulate products through API program (For this alone, I think various more API programs from other site such shopping.com should be included to increase the search terms options). As the result, there're many affiliate programs out there are out of the cover.
ok, I'm not an web savvy, nor a veteran in IM especially affiliate marketing. so, I think these are points that one might ask as a noob. Some of you guys might not be troubled at all by these I'm sure... In the end, I think there're still a lot of things to improve and maybe it'll be fine to start from these issues..
